Steve Urwin: Steve Urwin was born in 1970 in Consett, County Durham, UK. Diarist, editor, publisher, poet, his work has appeared in a wide variety of magazines and has been broadcast on BBC Radio. His books include "Tightrope Walker" (Redbeck Press 2001), "Hypomaniac" (Red Squirrel Press 2009), Shades of Grey (Red Squirrel Press 2009) and "So Much for the Sunshine" (Talking Pen 2013) A popular performer on the Northeast live circuit, Steve is the 2008 Bare Knuckle Poetry Slam Champion, 2008 Northern Lines Slam Champion, 2011 Middlesbrough Intro Festival Poetry Slam Champion and Berwick Bari Big Word Slam Winner, also 2011. A new collection of poems "Laughter To Split Glass" (Red Squirrel Press 2019) is now available. Steve works as a creative writing facilitator and runs Talking Pen - organising live literature events and publishing limited edition monographs and pamphlets.
