Good to spend the day at Jen's place watching crime dramas on telly. Had a big pie and veg dinner. Jenni is getting excited about going to see metal band Sikth on Thursday. She's been getting numerous phone calls for jobs today as well. Her 2019 Edinburgh show ideas sound good. I rode home in light drizzle towards dusk. Was pretty dark going through the trees on the cycle track from Annfield Plain onwards. Home by about half eight. I wanted to watch Strangers on TV but mine isn't working properly. Signal is shit. Mark Speeding messaged about book orders for Gateshead library. I heard from Sheila tonight. My ‘Laughter…’ book launch might be mid November if Lit & Phil can fit us in. Hopefully my body and voice will have recovered from Terror in the Trees by then. 11.29 pm.

‘Laughter To Split Glass’ will be published in January 2019. Exact date TBC. ‘Meet the Author’ event at Gateshead Library takes place on Monday 18th March 2019. This afternoon I posted a few production pix of ‘Anomalies 1989-2014’ on Facebook. Have a few orders already. Read quite a bit of early material under consideration for revised deluxe edition. I want to even out the placing of journal entries between the poems and vignettes. Read through a five-day September 2000 solo writing marathon I did (before knowing what a writing marathon is) and am chuffed to find lots more good material. Some of the original writing appeared in Hypomaniac. A couple of reworked poems made it into ‘Laughter To Split Glass’. I didn't realise that some of the magazine appearances used such early work. It's been good going through 160 pieces and earmarking bits and pieces this evening. Could quite easily make a volume of work from those five days alone. Very pleased. A productive day. 11.45 pm.

Written lots for big workshop prep. Told Mam and Ernie about zombie job on the phone. Mam saw Terror in the Trees TV advert. I watched Shaun of the Dead tonight. Read some Brexshit stuff. How long before they actually sack off all that shit and get back to reality? Got some workshop payments in and confirmations on invoicing for future employment. Read a couple of Gary McMahon's short stories. And beginning of his novel Pretty Little Dead Things. Read The Horned Tongue by Stephen J. Clark. His prose is always far more elegant and literary than any other I read these days. Good to have a proper meal tonight. Carrots, potatoes, peas, sausages, gravy. I'm down to copper and silver again for dark chocolate. Ok. 11.28 pm.

Woke at four this morning and didn't get back to sleep till about half six so I needed a couple of extra hours in bed and therefore didn't get to the bank till about half eleven. Relieved to find some more money in my account. Pleased to get food bought. Egg salad with fish fingers for dinner then chocolate and kettle chips. Shaved and temporarily stapled sheets for new morning pages notebook. Fitted a new bike light bracket. Rode to Jen's via Derwent Walk. It's a tedious route compared to Beamish, but quite pleasantly surprised to get a fast time of one hour sixteen minutes. Would have been quicker if not for traffic lights at Metro Centre and Bensham. Saw ‘Sikth’ at Think Tank tonight. Support acts were pretty ferocious. ‘Starve to Survive’ and ‘Loath’ drew a number of energetic young fans and both acts held my attention. Lots of crushing guitar slabs, heavy beats and growled vocals. Sikth, another extreme band whose repertoire I'm unfamiliar with, were tight and technical, powerful and rhythmical, with two charismatic vocalists who really got the crowd going. Jenni loved it. 11.25 pm.
Friday 14th September 2018
Keyed notes into android tablet then fiction plotting research for workshops. Thought about colour sequences and binding for future books. Sorted finances in Gateshead, checked out music mags in Tesco (Fish (ex-Marillion) in Classic Rock). Made lists of stuff checked out. Walked into Newcastle, checked out books, computers and records till quarter to eight then rainy walk and back across high level bridge to Gateshead Tesco for some supplies. Stayed awhile looking at DVDs, laptops and books. Only spent a few quid, walked back to Bensham. Ordered five Zombie novels from Durham Library Online for upcoming Terror in the Trees research. Only a few weeks to go. Watched Amy Winehouse documentaries on TV. Ate chocolate and an orange. Maybe Bruce Dickinson had a point about the mundanity of keeping diaries. 10.50 pm.
Saturday 15th September 2018
Long lie in checking this month's morning pages for usable content then porridge and an episode of Diagnosis Murder. Out this afternoon with Jen for food and checked out laptop computers for next year. Bought a new lightweight backpack for Beamish zombie nights. Mince pasty and beans for tea. Fiction plotting research online, read some poems from ‘Rituals’ by Josephine Scott and wrote first draft of a new piece. Watched two great episodes of Father Ted (down with this sort of thing and Elvis lookalike competition) then Micky Flannagin stand-up comedy show. Canny day. 11.12 pm.
Sunday 16th September 2018
Lazy Sunday. Read a few more Josephine Scott poems and typed up some notes. ‘Goodbye, Mister Chips’ starring Martin Clunes as a Latin teacher in a public school on tv then gameshows. Ate rhubarb pie and custard. Bike ride in the dark. Lights not bright enough for offroad use, so quite dodgy from Beamish to Moorside. Couple of hours on the couch reading about Universal Credit and checking legal requirements for nightriding. 11.21 pm.

ReplyDeleteHello, I am Theresa Williams After being in relationship with Anderson for years, he broke up with me, I did everything possible to bring him back but all was in vain, I wanted him back so much because of the love I have for him, I begged him with everything, I made promises but he refused. I explained my problem to my friend and she suggested that I should rather contact a spell caster that could help me cast a spell to bring him back but I am the type that never believed in spell, I had no choice than to try it, I mailed the spell caster, and he told me there was no problem that everything will be okay before three days, that my ex will return to me before three days, he cast the spell and surprisingly in the second day, it was around 4pm. My ex called me, I was so surprised, I answered the call and all he said was that he was so sorry for everything that happened that he wanted me to return to him, that he loves me so much. I was so happy and went to him that was how we started living together happily again. Since then, I have made promise that anybody I know that have a relationship problem, I would be of help to such person by referring him or her to the only real and powerful spell caster who helped me with my own problem.
